My New Favorite Show

So a few of my friends have mentioned they like the Giuliana & Bill show, mostly because a lot of its based in Chicago which is cool, but wasn't enough to hook me. Now I watched Bill on the apprentice WAY back when, and he seemed like a nice enough guy...but do I care to watch a show about how loaded is he now and how fabulous his life is? And I could never understand how he married Giuliana...she totally bugs me on E!

So a girlfriend of mine (who happens to know about our IF stuff) mentioned this season its all about how they're trying to get pregnant (i guess in real life they're been trying for 7 months and nothing) and are finally seeking out help. This of course sparked my interest and I set my tivo for last night. And let me tell you, I LOVED it! I mean she still pretty much bugs the crap out of me, but I have to admit...they are super cute together. Especially with the baby stuff, you could just totally relate...hubby and I were literally cracking up. In one scene Giuliana told the dr. how Bill calls her "old eggs", and Bills face was priceless right before the dr. gave him his SA #'s. You maybe had to see it, but trust me it was hilarious!

Anyways, I just really respect the fact that Giuliana & Bill are putting it out there. My girlfriend told me in the "what to expect this season" highlights Bill was giving Giuliana shots...so I'm very intrigued to see where this goes for them. It just seems like so many celebrities, who are like 40+, pop out twins one day...and they're like what, it's easy to get pregnant. Yah, easy when you have tons of cash to spend on treatments...and get a free pass straight to the fertility clinic because they don't have time to spend months trying to get preggers the old fashioned way. Ugh! Anyways, I highly recommend this show...even hubby liked it. It's on 8 on Weds. on the style network! Check it out!

Old eggs??? lol, dude I would kill my husband if he said that to me. Only cuz it's true, my eggs SUCK.

I might have to check it out, I'm glad there's a show out there showing that it's not always easy.

PS I think she's annoying on E too. She's just too.dang.perfect-looking!

I started watching this season when I saw the promo "if at first you don't conceive, try, try again"
I thought it was pretty hil when Giuliana was freaking out over the OPK and said it would tell her when she was going to ovulate that month. Uh...not quite dear!
I'm sure they will go straight to IVF since they have the $$. Regardless, I will be watching for sure!

Oh man, I had no idea, I'm totally watching that! I was at a bachelorette party at The Tasting Room in the West Loop when they were filming one of the first eps last May. And I loved Bill on the Apprentice. :)

I watched the first episode and then DVR'd the one this Wed b/c I was passed out. I haven't had a chance to watch yet but I will for sure. I really didn't believe they were IF or anything from the previews but I haven't watched. I saw a preview of them on Chelsea Handler the other night when he said she had "old eggs" lol. It'll be interesting if they show everything, they're very brave to put it all out there.

Sounds like a fun show! Unfortunately, being from Canada I don't think we have that show. Atleast I've never heard of it but I will look into it! Hope you have a good weekend and the clomid pills are doing their thang!!!

I recently started watching this show as well. I haven't seen the episode with their trip to the Doctors but did see the previews. They are an AODRABLE couple. I really like them together. And like you, I admire the fact that they are being public with it. I think it will bring awareness to those who don't suffer IF and perhaps gain us some attention and empathy. The one issue that will not be exploited is the inability to pay or have to save for treatments...as we know that is probably not an issue for them.

Ah, I had no idea about the show! Loved Bill on The Apprentice, too, so looking forward to checking this out!

Also, CONGRATS to you and BEST wishes as you dive into iui #3 - hoping this is the charm 4 you!

So glad there are other people who enjoy this show! I posted about it last week and then Mel posted over on Stirrup Queens and a lot of people were in an uproar about the ads. They didn't like the bunnies and they were annoyed in general. For me, I just love how he is with her, I think they're hilarious together, and like I said in my post, I am just glad that they're bringing a bit of a light to things.

Definitely a fan here!!
