The Bright Side

6 dpo and I'm cruising right along, I'm really feeling good this tww. Now, yes we all know the first week is a breeze compared to the second...so we still have to see who will really win this fight. But for now I'm staying positive, and looking on the bright side of things.

It's frickin COLD in Chicago, but the sun is shining which makes such a difference!

Went to Potbelly's to pickup lunch, splurged on an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie...YUM.

It's Friday, and the weekend has arrived! Hubby and I are sneaking out of work early and heading to half-priced happy hour (only half-price apps for me) at one of our fav restaurants!

It's the dead of winter, BUT January is almost over. Hip Hip. By far the worst month of the year in my opinion. And I think great things are coming in February!!! Plus February is an even number, so its bound to be better to me than January.

I really really really want this to be my cycle, but I talked to my nurse yesterday and I'm all set to start injections next month IF I the the big BFN. Something about jumping into a new treatment (as scary as that should sound) gives me a new sense of hope!

I also made an appt with Dr. S for February, so if I'm still cycling we can have the old "hey remember me from October, yeah, well I'm still not preggers...so fix it" talk. His next open date...2/24 (hello, my favorite number)!

I have an inch and half of dark brown roots (which looks especially bad with my dead of winter pale skin), but I'm getting highlights next Tuesday and will be blond again!

I have not googled ANYTHING yet, and have survived just fine without it!!! Screw you google.

Most importantly, I'm halfway done with the tww. I went in for progesterone this morning and will update with my number this afternoon. After last cycle's 30 I do realize this number means absolutely nothing in terms of pregnancy...BUT it's always nice to know you had a good healthy ovulation. One less thing to worry about.

I LOVE Potbelly's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They are SO good.

Glad you're half done with the two week wait. I really hope you get some great news next week.

Have a great weekend.

I'm so glad you are staying positive and feeling well during this 2WW! I hope the rest of the time flies by. And I don't blame you for having a plan just in case. Like I always say to people: It's not negativity, it's being prepared. You are just ready to take on anything.

Here's hoping that you can change that consult to a first u/s appointment! :)

Okay, now I'm going to Potbelly and I may just have to get one of their sugar cookies with my TKY. :)

Your vibes are amazing, I love it! Stay strong sister!

Hey hey cycle buddy! So glad things are going well! Hopefully next week will fly by! Hope the progesterone test is good! I totally agree about January totally sucking! In Toronto today it is -23 degrees celcius (which is like -10 degrees farenheit (for all you Americans!). I had to ride my bike to work today! BRUTAL! Hurry up spring!

February is horrible here - we get more ice and stuff that month. But it does mean we're one month closer to spring! Glad the first part of the wait is going well!

So happy for you that you're 1/2 done w/ the brutal tww ~ hoping that feb appt turns out to be an u/s appt too!

And I agree, your vibes are so cheery! Hope it gets better from here! Enjoy the happy hour and weekend!

What a great attitude! I'm with you--I always have a back-up "make myself feel better" plan on hand in case of BFNs. I'm hoping you don't need to use one this cycle.

So I'm pretty sure I'm at 6dpo too. Very cool. And you're so right. I've done so well during this first week, but I can only imagine how I will handle week 2 (and it probably won't be pretty). The RE doesn't have me check progesterone anymore. Apparently he's THAT comfortable, but I kind of like having it checked. It was a "break" in the 2ww.

Fingers crossed! I'm hoping it's both our months!

I am doing pretty well with my 2ww too, but I know next week will be brutal. I just want to make it to Friday with my sanity in tact!

I love Potbelly cookies...they are sooooo good. I swear they are solid butter!
Hope your progesterone # was good. I go for my progesterone test on Monday.

I'm glad you made it through 1 week already! I hope the next goes by just as fast! That's so funny about liking Feb b/c it's an even number. (I'm like that too.) Do you eat an even # of things ever? Like an even # of crackers or chips? Lol!
