1st Round Results Are In

Okay, so I'm doing MUCH better in my IVF brackets than my NCAA ones. Geez, this is like the year of b-ball upsets, huh? Not great for my brackets (since I pretty much went with my winning theory of last year's pick the favs), but it honestly makes it so fun...I love pulling for the underdog! But in my IVF bracket I'm 2/2...which means I got my period today! I've literally never been so happy to see blood, and I'm praying this is the last time I'll ever have to wish for my period to come! But it's here and I called and made my first official monitoring appointment for Thursday morning, and if I'm good to go I'll start Folli.stim that night, whoohoo...let the games begin!!

In other news this weekend I had Sunday brunch with Egg from SuchAGoodEgg, Erin from stateiamin, A from aplusbwaitingforc, Al from missionmotherhood, and A from thebabyrace. It was such a blast, I was seriously looking forward to it all week long. As many of these ladies have posted on their blogs...if there is a silver lining at all for dealing with IF, creating my blog which in turn led me to meeting these amazing women is definitely it!! We chatted for hours, literally...and I just feel so lucky to have them in my life now!! As same goes for all of you, I seriously don't know how I would be getting through all this IF crap each month if it weren't for your awesome support. Thanks for cheering me along, especially as we get going with IVF! Means the world to me, really!!

How fun that you hang out with other REAL LIFE IF'ers!!

Yay for AF, I hope your ultrasound goes well. You will only be one day behind me in the IVF cycle!!

I LOVE the network and friendships we have made through these blogs. I have met two real life IF'ers from the blogs. One is now pregnant and the other and I are going through IVF for the first time together.
I have family in Chicago and always talk about going to see them. If I do, I would LOVE to meet you all!

Hooray for the beginning of the cycle! I am so excited for you. I totally have my fingers crossed and am praying for you.

I am about to meet my first bloggy friend next weekend, Leah, from Life According to Leah, and hopefully Tammy from Tammy's Journey. I am SOOOO excited! Who cares about the stupid RE appointment? I want to meet these gals. I love that you all got together and had such a great time.

I am further glad that all of us IFers have each other through our journey's to parenthood. Having the support group really does help.

Loads of love!

I'm glad AF showed up and I hope too that this is the last time you wish for AF to show up. I agree, it's great to meet people who are going through the same issues, it's nice to just have someone who "gets it" unlike people who don't have issues getting KU.

It was fantastic meeting up with you again and the other Chicago bloggies this weekend ~ so much fun. I love that there is so much to talk about when we get together - and I hope next month we'll be celebrating your BFP!

Brunch on Sunday morning made me feel so good despite the crappy monitoring only hours before. :) We are all so lucky to have each other--IRL and commentors both. Here for you! xo

Congrats on being 2/2 so far! I'm also from the Chicago area starting my first IVF cycle (currently monitoring/stimming). I hope everything goes smoothly for you! (Oh, and I am so going to have to start watching G & B...I had no idea they were going through infertility treatments.)
