How Far Along: 8 weeks
Maternity Clothes: Nope, but I haven't buttoned my jeans for the last month...but that's just from the bloat post IVF and the mild OHSS.
Stretch Marks: Nope.
Sleep: Totally going to bed super early these days, I used to be the craziest night owl, I'm talking 1am sounded early to me! These days I'm lucky if I make it to 11pm. And sometimes that's with an afternoon nap after work!
Best Moment of the Week: Seeing little Skooter last week, I cannot get enough! !
Movement: Way too early, but lots of twinges and gas bubbles going on down there...freaks the shit out of me.
Food cravings: Spaghetti with meat sauce (weird since I've never liked meat sauce), fruit, smoothies, chipolte veggie bowl...could literally eat this every night for dinner since I'm way too lazy to cook these days!
Gender: Absolutely no clue, and we're not going to find out either so be prepared for a long wait my friends!!
What I Miss: Not being bloated, seriously I don't even remember what my old flat stomach looks like. Once its actually baby related I won't mind at all...bring on the maternity jeans, but this huge ovary bloat is ridiculous.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Finishing 1st trimester, going public (right now only our parents and a small handful of friends who knew I was doing IVF know), stopping PIO shots!
Weekly Wisdom: Spicy foods are not kind to your stomach, and if gas cramps freak you out avoid them in the first place. Goodbye Uncle Frank's hot sauce!!
Milestones: Making it to the 2 month mark!
Emotions: Right now I have to admit the anxiety is still outweighing the excitement (which I hate). And I'm so ready to be done being scared and worried about every little feeling, or lack of feeling. It's also still really hard for me to believe I'm pregnant, especially when you don't feel much in the way of symptoms. I keep reminding myself this is really happening, but then the worry and anxiety sets in and I'm back to square one. Its a vicious little cycle!
Happy Monday everyone!

You're not finding out???? AAAH! How will I last 7 months???
:)
heehee, you're "early" is 11pm? that's MY LATE!!! if i can stay up that late, i'm lucky. i'm not even preggers, and i go to bed by 10pm. pretty pathetic, huh???
are you craving pickles like most pregnant women do??? spaghetti w/meat sauce is sounding delish. i'm gonna have to order me some right now :o)
glad you're taking it easy (by sleeping early at least)!!
ps - i HATE JLO as well. always hated her, but that ivf commented cemented the deal. but my crush on the guy in the movie outweighed my hatred of her, and babybaker really wanted to see the movie :o)
You're gonna kill me with not finding out!! :) Good to know I'm not the only one with no real in your face symptoms!
I hear you on the issue of anxiety overshadowing the excitement. All I want right now is some certainty and comfort in this pregnancy. And by comfort, I don't mean physically, but rather a absence (or at least a major downshift) in the constant second-guessing and doom-fearing. Sigh.
Happy 8 weeks to you! :)
oh happy happy times. Congrats and thanks for the update and the pregnancy advice *just in case for me :)
Yea for 8 weeks! You are way better than I am...I could never not find out. I am the girl who used to sneak around and look for christmas presents before christmas. I've even been known to cut the tape on those presents and retape them to find out what was inside. I'm just not great with surprises. But, yea for you that you are!
Wohoooo 8 weeks that's awesome! I will be there on friday. I think I'm having a girl, everybody says that since I hate meat that's a girl thing...will see, as long as he or she is healthy I don't care =_
Yay for 8 weeks! I'm sorry you're still feeling anxious, but hang in there!! One more month and you're in 2nd trimester territory, sister!
Yay for not finding out! That's totally our plan, too :)
I hope the anxiety turns to straight happiness soon.
Congrats on 8 weeks!
And we plan to wait too :-). Unless there's more than one, in which case...who knows how I would feel.
I could not have waited to find out!! I am not good with surprises but I guess it's going to be something extra special for the delivery!! I have the same thing with spicy foods... I still eat them but put tons of yogurt on them! It's actually very nice.. not sure it is for everyone though!
Congrats on the big 8! AWESOME! I hope in the coming weeks you feel more and more confident and peaceful. B/c you are right: This IS ACTUALLY happening!! :)
PS We don't want to find out either (if I ever get preggo, haha)!!
Yay for 8 weeks!
We still can't decide whether we want to find out or not. It's a happy dilemma to have. :)
8 weeks? You are just moving right along! :) I am so happy to hear things are going well. YAYYYY! Seriously? You are going to wait to find out the gender? You amaze me! lol. My best friend did that twice - I could never hold out that long. You are my idol when it comes to patience! Keep the updates coming hon. So happy for you!!!
Yay to 8 weeks! Congrats.
Congrats on 8 weeks. My prediction? A girl ... just saying... :)Too funny about the sudden cravings for meat sauce!
Congrats on 8 weeks! I can't believe you are making all of us wait to find out the sex. I guess I'll go ahead and predict. I say boy, which means you will probably have a girl because I'm never right about these things...
Yay. I didn't realize but I'm almost exactly one week behind you. Tomorrow is 7 weeks for me. Reading your blog is like reading my own toughts. Haha. Minus the whole "not finding out" because honey... I want to know the second its possible to know. ;)
And oh the bloat...
Congrats on 8 weeks and YEA for another person waiting to find out! I feel like I'm alone in that want - everyone seems to find out ASAP!
Both of our parents are trying to make us not find out but there's no way! I'm too much of a planner and want to know NOW!
I'm glad you're getting twinges (well not really glad but you know what I mean) because I have them too and flip out as well!
Congrats on eight weeks!
OMG! Your not finding out? I admire that! I would being dying to know and wouldn't last! Get all the sleep you need momma! And having no symptoms might just be a blessing. = )Thinking positive for you all the way. You go girl!
I still have days where the anxiety outweighs the excitement...I think it's just part of being a mom!
Congrats on 8 weeks!
Congrats on the 8 weeks!
Did you seriously say you were jealous of the symptoms? I love you so much you can have mine. ;)
Yeah for 8 weeks girl! We are finding out on Monday if Superbaby is a he or she, can't wait but totally respect your decision to. I am 18 weeks today and the anxiety has never left. Its a hard thing this IF but i try to bask in my pregnancy glory as much as I can. Honestly, not easy. Those little thoughts are always with me even if I don't tell anyone. But at the same time I am trying to remain my positive self, saying that all is good and we have come a long way. So happy for you too girl! xoxo
Why does anxiety always have to rain on our parade! Darn it!!!
I'm just so, so, so happy for you and know all will be well. Live in this beautiful moment with your sweet hubby :)
Okay, so from one fashionista to another...Joe's Jeans and Citizens of Humanity are the cutest maternity jeans! Can't wait to have a pair of my own, as they are on the wish list with Baby of course ;)
Hugs and enjoy all the transitions!
xoxo
